Faces was published around 1867 and Jaques had created an amusing game which was for up to eight players. Everyone had a blank face card and there was a pool of counters as the stakes. Throwing the coloured dice allowed players to choose features to complete their face or give forfeits when unsuccessful throws were made. The original rules card is also included with an inscription in black ink which reads: Blanche and Arthur Hayward, From Lizzie – Dec. 1875, A Present from London.
