The Reason Why is introduced as “Perry’s New Game of the Reason Why” being lauded as ‘amusing and instructive to old and young’ and this set has the box and a set of rules. This game was printed and published by Perry while being manufactured by Jaques. The unusually shaped box holds cards and instructions in a question and answer game. The white cards are question cards and three other sets of coloured cards, blue, yellow and red, hold the answers. The dealer holds on to the white cards and the other three players take a set of answers each. They are not allowed to answer the question when asked but can only turn over the uppermost card and it’s a game of chance as to whether the correct answers show up at the correct time. A full list of the questions and answers is included. The collection has one complete pack of this game with 40 cards.
