Chopsticks was a game which Jaques published in 1888. Consisting of a set of pencil like ‘chopsticks’, the idea was for players to convey the small sugar balls into their receptacles. The winner would be the one who collected the most balls. As their prize they were allowed to eat the leftover balls from the table but only if they could convey at least one into their mouth using the chopsticks. The players did not use these sticks as conventional chopsticks but by having a stick in each hand and trying to ensure their hands did not touch. This game was against the clock.
