Skits is a geographical card game based around the counties of England and also called ‘a Game of the Shires’. Described on the box as “ both instructive and pleasant, it tickles the fancy and sharpens the wits.” The cards contain caricatures which help identify the different shapes of the shires and also amusing verse. The object of the game is to match map cards with their picture cards, and to play out all your cards to win. The player holding either Northumberland or Cornwall starts and map cards must be played first with picture cards to follow. Players mis a turn if they do not have the necessary matching card. The game proceeds by the neighbouring shires coming next so a knowledge of geography is needed! This pack is in the original box with rules and 80 cards.
